Meander along the Mississippi River on the Great River Road on the southern half of this trail. Lovely and picturesque, it follows the levees past stately oaks, sprawling pecan orchards, and majestic plantations. It’ll also take you to some taste-tempting eats. Today, the diverse dining options from the casual to the cosmopolitan (with emphasis on fresh seafood) mark the culinary turf of Baton Rouge and the surrounding Audubon and River Parishes.
